Aci Trezza is giving us the perfect excuse to slow down and enjoy it.

There’s something special about spring in Sicily. The days feel softer, the sea starts calling again, and suddenly even a simple walk along the coast feels like a little celebration.
And this Sunday, 24 May, Aci Trezza is giving us the perfect excuse to slow down and enjoy it.
The Festa di Primavera is a free local celebration by the sea, set in one of the most charming spots near Catania.
Aci Trezza has that easy magic we all love: fishing boats, sea breeze, lava rocks, cafés spilling into the streets, and the famous Faraglioni standing proudly in the water like old guardians of the coast.
This is not one of those events where you need a big plan. Just come as you are.
Bring a friend, your family, your camera, or simply yourself. Wander by the water, enjoy the atmosphere, maybe grab a granita or something fresh to drink, and let the village do what it does best: make you feel like life is meant to be enjoyed slowly.
The beauty of events like this is that they remind us how much is already here.
You don’t need to travel far or spend much money to have a beautiful day. Sometimes the best plans are the free ones, especially when they involve the sea, local people, and a bit of spring energy in the air.
So, if you’re in or around Catania this weekend, consider taking a little trip to Aci Trezza on 24 May.
It’s close, it’s free, and it might be exactly the kind of easy, sunny Sunday your week needs. See you by the sea. |
