Acireale is about to become dangerously tempting for anyone with a weakness for Sicilian granita.

For three sweet days in May, Nivarata brings tradition, tastings, new flavors, and a few very good excuses to hop out of Catania for something cold, creamy, and extremely hard to resist.

Catania is getting a soundtrack — and possibly a very good aperitivo to go with it.

As Sicily Music Conference brings showcases, parties, and late-night events into the city, local bars and venues are set to turn up the volume with drinks, bites, and plenty of after-dark buzz.

Most tourists see Catania. This guide helps you actually get Catania

Catania is full of little rewards if you know where to look. A simple side street can lead to a perfect snack.

A quiet walk can turn into your favorite view of the day. A random evening can become live music, new friends, and one more drink than planned. Very tragic, obviously.

For tourists, this guide is a shortcut to the good stuff.

Less guessing. Fewer tourist traps. More flavor, music, beauty, and real Catania.

So before you wander the city blind, grab the guide.

The best parts of Catania are waiting — but they are much easier to find when someone points you in the right direction.

From cozy stone cantinas and late-night pinze to seafood cocktails by the harbour and one under-the-radar cocktail spot with serious “remember this name” energy, these five restaurants are worth a closer look.
